District XII Chorus

ABOUT THE CHOIR

The All-District Honor Choir is an opportunity for singers in 9-12 grade from District 12 schools to rehearse challenging music, and work with a renowned choral conductor at an advanced level. Each year the All District Chorus performances are powerful and memorable and for many students, life changing. There are two All-District Choirs. The Women’s Chorus is for grades 9 & 10. The SATB Chorus is for men grades 9-12 and women grades 11 & 12.

1. Please read carefully and print all of the documents. I am not making hard copies of the information available in class. It will remain available here on the chorus website and on blackboard in addition to email you have received.
2. Take note of the subfolders for Women’s Choir and Mixed Choir that have notes specific to your music
3.  The $34  District Fee is due immediately.
4. Permission slips are forthcoming.

Auditions

Auditions were held on November 5, 2011 at McLean High School.  Fifty-two of South Lakes Chorus students auditioned.

The following students have been selected to represent South Lakes in February at District Chorus, which will be held at Washington Lee HS in Arlington. Congratulations!!!!
